The Premis Ciutat Barcelona are the city's most prestigious cultural awards, organized by the Ajuntament de Barcelona in collaboration with OFFF. For the 2023 edition, AVAV Studio was commissioned to design the animated cards — the motion pieces that introduce each category and nominee during the ceremony. The creative direction, led by Héctor Ayuso, set the conceptual foundation: fluidity as the defining quality of Barcelona. A city in constant movement, where cultures, disciplines, and people flow and intersect without friction. That idea became the visual language of the animations — organic, continuous forms that shift and transform, never static, always in transition. The result is a set of motion pieces that feel like the city they represent: alive, layered, and in perpetual flow. Each animated card is not just a functional element of the ceremony, but a small visual statement about what Barcelona is and how it moves
